Simon Margaraoli is a well-respected figure in Worthing and in the culinary scene. He trained at the Savoy in London and gained experience at Claridges and the Berkeley before spending three years at the Mandarin Oriental and Sheraton hotels in Hong Kong. Returning to Worthing over thirty years ago, he now runs the family business with his brother, Richard.
Simon is committed to providing exceptional dining experiences and is a cherished member of the community, recognised for his contributions to charity the community and hospitality – we are excited to have Simon on the judging panel.

Worthing and Adur Town Crier
Winner of the 2024 Outstanding Contribution to Worthing, the former Mayor is a beloved figure in our community, widely recognised as The Worthing and Adur Town Crier. Known as The Blue Pirate, Bob can be seen ringing his bell at various events, tirelessly supporting charities and raising thousands for local causes while enhancing the profile of our town.
Bob is also a Trustee of West Sussex Mind, co-founder of Worthing Mental Health Awareness, and serves on the exam board at Northbrook College, We are fortunate to have Bob serving as a judge.
Nicci Parish – Founder of Billy & Beyond
Nicci, the founder and one of the directors of Billy & Beyond, a local Community Interest Company dedicated to enhancing drug safety awareness and promoting mental well-being among children and young people, is thrilled to serve as a judge for this year’s Worthing Community Awards
Having attended the event last year, she was pleasantly surprised to be named Mum of the Year! The evening was filled with inspiring community stories, delightful entertainment, and delicious food. Nicci is excited to participate again this year as a judge.
