Our Awards
1. The Disability Awareness Award
The Hon Alderwoman and Former Mayoress of Worthing in 2013/14 Norah Fisher was one of the most inspirational local community champions we have ever met and during her mayoral year attended hundreds of events with assistance dog Herbie by her side.
The Disability Awareness award will be awarded to someone that judges feel demonstrates the same commitment and dedication to Worthing while coping with living with any type of disability.

2. Fundraiser Of The Year
The fundraiser of the year award recognizes individuals or groups who have shown exceptional creativity, dedication, and success in organizing and executing a fundraising event or campaign.
This includes unique and effective strategies, a high level of community involvement, and significant funds raised for a cause or organization.
The recipient of this prestigious award embodies the spirit of giving and inspires others to give back and make a difference.

3. Charity/Charitable Organisation Of The Year
The Charity/Charitable Organisation of the Year award recognizes the hard work and dedication of a local organization in making a positive impact in the community.

4. Carer Of The Year
Awarded to someone who improves the life of an individual or group of people through their helpfulness, compassion and support.
Caregivers often go above and beyond to ensure the comfort and well-being of those they care for, and their contributions to society are invaluable.

Awarded to a young career under the age of 18 someone who improves the life of an individual or family member through their helpfulness, compassion and support, If you know a young caregiver, take a moment to thank them for their hard work and dedication.

6. Dad Of The Year
In memory of David Sawyer , A Worthing Photographer who took so many amazing photos of Worthing and the people of Worthing, he left his cheeky smile and jazz hands where ever he went, David sadly passed away in 2022 after a short battle with cancer, his Daughter Delina continues his legacy with her amazing photography skills, David was her hero.
The Dad of the year is your hero a distinguished father who has demonstrated support, guidance and love to his children or other children through his working role or family life.

7. Mum Of The Year
The Mother of the Year® award is an esteemed recognition offered to biological, foster, or adoptive mothers.

12. Volunteer Of The Year
The volunteer of the year award celebrates individuals who have gone above and beyond in their volunteering duties.
It is given to an individual who has shown outstanding dedication, commitment, and selflessness in giving back to the community through their volunteer work.

13. The Millie Stoner Award For Courage and Bravery
Millie was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumour, at a young age, She was an absolute warrior through all her treatment , in 2023 she was awarded the Bravery Award at the Child of Sussex Awards, nominated by her friend Melanie Peters.
In July 2023 she was finally able to tell people she was cancer free, however in October 2023, Millie started to struggle with vision and balance. An MRI scan showed that the tumour had returned aggressively and that there was nothing the medical team at UCLH could do. Three short weeks later in November 2023 she sadly passed away.
This award is Awarded to an individual or group of people who have shown outstanding courage, defiance in the face of perceived danger, fear or difficulty.

14. Outstanding Contribution to Worthing
This award will be presented to an individual who in the opinion of the judges, has made or is still making a significant and long-lasting contribution to the local community. This may be awarded to a business owner, or a member of an organisation or any member of the public, The award acknowledges the winner’s contribution within the local community.

This award is awarded to an individual or group of people who have helped to genuinely change the lives of others within their community
