That is why we have carefully selected a range of award categories, each designed to highlight the outstanding individuals and groups that make our community thrive. From acts of kindness and volunteerism to extraordinary talents and leadership, there is a category for every deserving member of our community.
Our Awards
1. The Disability Awareness Award

The Disability Awareness Award will be given to an individual who demonstrates exceptional commitment and dedication to the Worthing community while living with any form of disability. Judges will seek nominees who actively engage in community service, advocate for inclusivity, and promote awareness around disability issues.
This award aims to celebrate those who not only overcome personal challenges but also inspire others through their resilience and dedication. By highlighting their contributions, the Disability Awareness Award fosters understanding of the experiences faced by individuals with disabilities and encourages a more inclusive and compassionate community in Worthing.
2. Fundraiser of the year

The Fundraiser of the Year award recognises individuals and groups who have shown exceptional creativity, dedication, and success in organising and executing a fundraising event or campaign.
This includes unique and effective strategies, a high level of community involvement, and significant funds raised for a cause or organisation.
The recipient of this prestigious award embodies the spirit of giving and inspires others to give back and make a difference.
3. Charity / Charitable Organisation

The Charity/Charitable Organisation of the Year award recognizes the hard work and dedication of a local organisation in making a positive impact in the community.
This award highlights the vital role that charities play in improving the lives of
those in need, and encourages them to get involved and contribute to their important-work.
4. Carer of the Year

Awarded to someone who improves the life of an individual or group of people through their helpfulness, compassion and support.
Caregivers often go above and beyond to ensure the comfort and well-being of those they care for, and their contributions to society are invaluable.
5. Young Carer of the Year

Awarded to a young career under the age of 18 someone who improves the life of an individual or family member through their helpfulness, compassion and support, If you know a young caregiver, take a moment to thank them for their hard work and dedication.
The winner of this award will be an inspiration to us all to showcase the
resilience of youth in our community.
6. Dad of the Year – in memory of David Sawyer
Sponsor – FREUND
In memory of David Sawyer, A Worthing Photographer who took so many amazing photos of Worthing and the people of Worthing, he left his cheeky smile and jazz hands wherever he went, David sadly passed away in 2022 after a short battle with cancer, his Daughter Dalina continues his legacy with her amazing photography skills, David was her hero.
The Dad of the Year is your hero a distinguished father who has demonstrated support, guidance and love to his children or other children through his working role or family life.
7. Mum of the Year

The Mother of the Year® award is an esteemed recognition offered to biological, foster, or adoptive mothers.
These remarkable women exceed expectations in caring for their children and fostering a home atmosphere that is affectionate and supportive. We are privileged to honour and celebrate the outstanding mothers who have the drive and determination to inspire their families daily.
8. Best Sibling – in memory of Millie Stoner for Jacob and Harry

The Best Sibling Award recognises an outstanding brother or sister who goes above and beyond in their role as a sibling. 9. Teacher of the Year

In addition, the awardee has shown a continuing commitment to their own personal and professional growth, which has resulted in enhanced teaching methods and better outcomes for students. 10. Volunteer of the Year

11. Community Hero Award, for the Emergency Services

15. Outstanding Contribution to Worthing Award

This award will be presented to an individual who in the opinion of the judges, has made or is still making a significant and long-lasting contribution to the local community. This may be awarded to a business owner, a member of an organisation or any member of the public, The award acknowledges the winner’s contribution to the local community.

The Judges’ Choice Award is awarded to someone who has stood out to our Judges.
